Sydney counts her flights at the end of every year. This year it was 26. She announced she was done, and then we agreed to co-host MOPZA 2026, a virtual event that required her to fly six and a half hours to a studio in San Diego. Virtual for who, exactly?
Every work trip leaves behind a few inside jokes, so we spent this episode translating ours. A waiter in Miami deboned a branzino at the next table. A restaurant near Bryant Park unwrapped Lauren’s bread from parchment paper and a bow, very intimately, while she watched. That seems private. And Ethan finally named Lauren’s habit of telling jokes to anyone who did not ask for them: a joke for the table.
Also in this one:
What Lauren said when her E-ZPass didn’t work at a toll
The man who carries Trivial Pursuit cards in his wallet for just such an occasion
A $35 hat that says “somebody’s problem,” not to be worn through TSA
Chopped vs. cooked, and the husband who mixed them up in public
And we still owe Brian an apology for the Ken Griffey Jr. thing.
